Top Arsenal news: Giants told to sell powerhouse to Arsenal – Gabriel update given – Lokonga on way out!
Here is a few Arsenal news and gossip stories that we think you guys may enjoy –
LOKONGA DECISION MADE –
Albert Sambi Lokonga is reportedly still a player that ARSENAL are eager to sell before the close of the transfer window.
Lokonga came to the Emirates with big expectations that he could have a massive impact on this current Gunners side – but that has not happened.
The young man has struggled for game time at the club and has only been a bit-part player under Mikel Arteta – and is once again considering his long-term future at the Emirates.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
The Gunners currently have a bloated squad of 32 players and are looking to sell a number of stars to trim down that number, report football.london.
Arsenal have dumped Granit Xhaka, Pablo Mari, Auston Trusty and Matt Turner permanently so far while Runar Alex Runarsson and Marquinhos have left on loan, and Lokonga is a player that the club no longer want.
Amid all the speculation and rumors surrounding the young man and his future – Lokonga recently admitted that he is looking to leave the Gunners this transfer window.
When asked about his plans for the upcoming season on the YouTube channel Wonhee Hyung, Lokonga said: “I don’t know.
“I will try to go somewhere where I can play so that’s the most important thing for me – to have some games and play game after game.”
Burnley are already keen on signing Lokonga this summer with Vincent Kompany keen on being reunited with the midfielder having managed him at Anderlecht.
AJAX TOLD TO SELL KUDUS –
Ajax have been urged to cash in on Mohammed Kudus if ARSENAL meet the £40 million asking price this summer.
The Gunners have been doing some very good business over the past few months and have got most of their transfer business done this window.
However – there is still plenty of time for the Gunners to try and get some more transfer business done this transfer season, and Kudus is a man that has been linked with a move.
The Ajax star had a fabulous season last year and netted an impressive 18 goals – which has alerted some very big clubs to his potential and quality.
Now – amid all the speculation and rumours regarding West Ham – Kenneth Perez believes that Kudus should be sold.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
“He played well. He had great actions, and he does surprising things,” Perez told Voetbal Primeur
“But you can’t rely on him as a team.
“Your ‘number ten’ is so unpredictable that it is almost impossible to play with. I think he is potentially the best player (Ajax) have individually. But, for the team, I would always take that £40 to £50 million to strengthen you in a different way.”
GABRIEL UPDATE GIVEN –
As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, ARSENAL fully expect Gabriel Magalhães to stay at the club this summer.
Reports have indicated that the Brazilian has been subject to interest from Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad but they’ve yet to submit an official bid for the 25-year-old.
Real Madrid are also seriously considering a move for Arsenal defender after Eder Militao’s injury. The Brazilian suffered an ACL injury in the opening game of the La Liga season and has been ruled out for at least six months.
However, while the club are looking to hand youth star Marvel more minutes, the Daily Mail has reported that Real Madrid are poking around a potential move for Magalhaes.
The 25-year-old is said to be happy at the Emirates Stadium but the Los Blancos believe they could convince the Brazilian to leave if they really decided to make the move.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
However, despite that, Romano has reported that Arsenal have no plans to entertain any bids for the defender and have refuted any claims that the 25-year-old can leave.
The Italian journalist has also revealed that the Gunners have flat-out refused to indicate a price tag for the Brazilian as they fully expect him to stay.
He Tweeted: ‘Understand Arsenal have no intention to sell Gabriel Magalhães despite Al Ittihad interest 🔴⚪️⛔️ #AFC
‘Arsenal not even intentioned to indicate a price tag for Brazilian centre back at this stage. He’s expected to stay.’
