Tabloid TMZ claimes Megan, 25, and her friend Kelsey Nicole at some point wanted to leave the chauffeur-driven car. It is alleged that Tory Lanez then opened fire in the car, shooting Megan twice in the foot.

The initial police report said shots were fired in the air from an SUV that then hauled off, not at someone. Members of this involved are un willing to cooperate with police at this time. In video footage released, police are seen ordering the musician to get out of an SUV with fellow rapper Tory.

The ‘Savage’ rapper appeared to leave bloody footprints the sidewalk after police pulled over the SUV following the report that shots were fired.

Megan released the following statement via her social media: ‘I suffered gunshot wounds as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me,’

‘I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets,’

She further stated:

‘I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery.’

‘I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life. And back to making music as soon as possible.’

Megan’s team have made thinly veiled allegations but have not directly implicated Tory Lanez. However Tory has yet to release an official statement.

Meanwhile Megan continues to promote her debut album’ Suga’ released early this year.
