Kanye West has recently taken to twitter with some controversial remarks. Speaking of his contract with Universal, Kanye refers to himself as ‘Moses’.

He tweeted:

I’m not gonna watch my people be enslaved

I’m putting my life on the line for my people

This isn’t the first time Kanye has made wild statements regarding slavery. I the past he has accused famed activist ‘Harriet Tubman’ as ‘Never actually freeing slaves’. His statement directly went against what we know of Harriet Tubman actively helping and freeing slaves. between 1820 and 1822, but escaped and helped enslaved people travel to North, through the underground railroad.

Many found his comments ironic and tweeted in response:

‘I mean, claiming to be a slave freer but having kids working at sweatshops making yeezys in slave conditions doesn’t sound very Moses-like to me 🥴’

Another person commented:

‘Weren’t you the one who said slavery was an option??? and comparing yourself to Nat turner?? @kanyewest 🤔🤔’

In response to kanye tweeting: ‘Use the government money and buy land’

‘If you could buy land for $1,200.00 the government would tax you till you lost it
He must be calling his last recording land and telling everyone to buy it’

‘ye they gave us $1200, you can’t even buy a single acre of land for $1200’

‘what land is someone gonna buy with $1200? Especially if they needed that money for rent, groceries, and healthcare’

‘both the stimulus and unemployment payouts we got were scraps compared to the loans your businesses unnecessarily claimed’
