Jurgen Klopp gives green light for Liverpool to wrap up deal for impressive Alexis Mac Allister

It has been claimed that Jurgen Klopp has given the green light for the LIVERPOOL board to try and sign Brighton Star Alexis Mac Allister.

Mac Allister, 24, who has 16 caps for Argentina, has thrived in Brighton’s midfield since arriving on the south coast in 2019, and has developed into one of the most in-demand stars in the English game.

The 24-year-old has scored 11 goals and assisted twice in 34 appearances across all competitions for the Seagulls to help Brighton climb to sixth in the Premier League table.

Now the Football Insider website has claimed that Liverpool are confident that they can sign the Brighton star. and the reports says that Jurgen Klopp is a massive fan of the lad and has given the green light for a deal to get done.

But in a transfer blow to all four clubs, Mac Allister, under contract until 2025 with a further year option, admits that he is loving life at high-flying Brighton.

Speaking after the Seagulls’ win over United on Thursday, he told Sky Sports: ‘I’ve been here three-and-a-half years.

‘I know what this club gave to me, I’m really grateful and I’m really happy to be here.

‘It’s a fantastic team, like a family, so every time I’m on the pitch I really enjoy being here.

‘It’s easy to play in this team. The way we play is very nice, my team-mates are fantastic.

‘It’s down to them as well. I’m really pleased to play with them and they help me to be a better player every day.’

Will Liverpool sign Mac Allister?

The man is creative – can score goals and works hard – he is the perfect Jurgen Klopp type player.

The Reds have the money and the pedigree to get this deal done and for the right money – he could be a fantastic addition to that Liverpool side that is for sure
